Description

Here is an original pressing of the LP “Let Me In" by Poobah,  RITE Records (Peppermint Productions, engineered by Poobah & Gary Rhamy) PP 1015, released in 1972.?

Vinyl is VG/VG+ - A side has some light scratches/scuffs, but none that are deep or look like they would effect play (possibly surface noise, but no skipping).   B side has a couple light scratches and a couple scuffs, also looks like it would play with fine with some light surface noise.   In deadwax on each side, etched by hand - "30571 - RTE - 5360 (I think this is the pressing #) - STEREO - 2 - 12/28/72 - DB".

A side label sticker looks VG++, just a tiny bit of wear, B side label sticker is VG+, with a bit of darker wear.

Sleeve is VG/VG+ - Has some staining (most likely water damage) along the right hand edge and corners.  Sleeve remains strong despite the stains, unwarped, corners strong, edges stiff, no splits.  Very slight wear to front cover illustration, tiny dark marks towards bottom (most likely from a darker LP cover being next to it on a shelf).  Back has the original glued-on collage, some light spots of wear.  Some of the staining can be seen to a lesser degree on the back.  Initials written in marker (half inch x half inch).

As a collector, I understand that grading can be difficult, as sound systems and personal standards are subjective, so I grade conservatively. I try to provide as much information and a description of each record’s condition as possible, while using the gold standard grading system.  Unless a sound sample is posted (always of the record you are bidding on), records are graded visually.

M – Mint – Unopened or just opened.  I almost never see a record that qualifies for this.

NM (+&-) – Near Mint – Record has been treated with care.  Free of notable scratches or abrasions.  Label is generally in great condition.

VG (+&-) – Very Good - May have a couple light surface scratches or scuffs, but is very listenable and should not disturb play.  Label may have slight wear, writing or marks.

G (+&-)– Good – Record may have multiple scratches or small gouge(s).  May have significant crackling when played, but still listenable.  Label may be torn.

F (+&-) – Fair – Record has significant damage.

Shipping within the continental U.S. is a flat rate of $4 via USPS first class.  This price accounts for costs such as packing materials (I use cardboard mailers designed for records, and put records in protective sleeves), transportation, and other fees.  All records over $50 must be insured.  International shipping costs is a flat rate of $15.  I urge international buyers to pay for insurance.

Payment is required within 3 days of purchase.  I list my handling time as 5 days, but I typically get things mailed sooner than that.  If you have 0 feedback or multiple negative feedback, please do not bid.  If I do not receive payment or a message from the buyer within a week, I will open a case with eBay.

I accept full returns only in the event that I send the wrong record, or if the record is grossly misrepresented.  As stated above, sound quality is somewhat subjective, and someone with an expensive sound system may hear things that I don’t, and since I generally grade visually, I don’t always listen to every record the whole way through (especially LP’s).  Due to past scams, I cannot be held responsible for lost records once they reach their destined country.
