Description

POPOL VUH - s/t

This Norwegian prog, psych band did two records under this name in the begining of the 70's before chaning name to Popol Ace (beacuse of the german kraut band Popol Vuh). This is their first effort and with a great result. The music various from heavy psych, prog to more folk vibes and jazz groove with nice mellotron, flute, percussion, good bass play and nice vocals. For example "For eternity" starts with flute, aucostic guitar and cello and then builds up a cresendo with nice prog vocals, and then ends again in a nice folk-rock way. The band won the Norwegian grammy (Spellemannsprisen) in 1972 for best band. One of the best norwegian albums in the 70's.
