INFORMATION:
SUPER ULTRA RARE funk / Northern Soul LP from Long Island group Premonitions (from my memory, 1978 Tassi Records).
This was the one and ONLY album released from this group. It's actually sort of a family heirloom because my brother-in-law, James
(aka "Funky Monk"), was the bass player. This record had a very very limited pressing, and never received much play. The styles
of the songs vary from funk to disco to love ballads. A couple of b-boy specials, drum breaks, and some nice harmonious tunes to form a well balanced piece of work. Absolutely INCREDIBLE piece to own! This is indeed the only copy of this I own,
and it will more than likely be a very long time before another pops up...who knows. Why take chances? Get your bids in NOW!
GUARANTEED original U.S. pressing: (stock #T-1001). All appropriate etchings in run-out.
Vinyl is in VG+++++ condition. Has one spot in the 4th track of Side-A ("Daddy's Home") with a scuff area that may cause a skip. (Soundclip below is from that area of the track). Other than that, vinyl is in great, well-kept shape. Cover is about VG+++ condition with a light ring on front and back. No splits except for at the tips of the opening end. Has tears that measure about 1/8" to 1/4" long. Also has a short crease mark in the upper right front corner, and it looks like a small object underneath one of the layers of cardboard on the front cover that was trapped there during construction. Just a little small rectangular piece of something...like a piece of cardboard or flat metal. Labels in excellent shape, and cover art looks nice as well. I included soundclips of a few of the tracks below. That's ALL the clips I have, and hopefully I have covered everything :^)
SOUNDCLIPS:
"Premonitions"
"Look Into The Future"
"Daddy's Home"
"Bass Man Do Your Thing"
"Early Morning Blues"
