THE RONETTES ‘PRESENTING THE FABULOUS RONETTES FEATURING VERONICA’ ORIGINAL 1964 UK MONO PRESSING UNBOXED LONDON WITH DEEP GROOVE LABEL

This is the very first issue, first UK pressing on London. The purple label has the genuine, first issue, unboxed ‘London’, along with the deep groove associated with all early Decca pressed London LPs. Many later versions, and there are many later pressings including boxed, purple labels, do not have either of these features.

Sleeve Condition: Ex, very light laminate creasing in the usual places but the laminate is still firm and is not lifting or showing any signs of defect. The rear of the sleeve is clean and free (as is the front) from any kind of stickers or writing. A very nice sleeve, particularly given the rather flimsy nature of pre-1965 LP sleeves.

Record Condition: Ex, just the odd very, very light and inconsequential handling mark, barely visible. The record is free from stylus damage, still has a lovely shine to it and plays Ex+ or better.

This really is a very nice combination of a clean, undamaged sleeve and an exceptionally well-preserved and well-cared for record. It has even retained its original, as-issued, inner sleeve. In addition, unlike many of this era, this copy has clearly not been played on the kind of vinyl-destroying equipment that predominated in the early ‘60’s. The music is entirely free from any kind of distortion or peaking and plays loud, clear and without aural defect. A collectors’ copy.

Please note that overseas shipping includes either Airsure where available or International Signed For Delivery. UK shipping includes recorded delivery. If UK buyers would prefer next day delivery with tracking, please email before making payment.
