Royal Blue Columbia label #2875-D

Pre-War jazz by the Chocolate Dandies (Max Kaminsky-t/Benny Carter-t-as/Floyd O'Brien-tb/Chu Berry-ts/Teddy Wilson-p/Lawrence Lucie-g/Ernest Hill-sb/Sid Catlett-d) and Chick Webb and his Savoy Orchestra (Chick Webb-d-dir./Mario Bauza-Renauld Jones-t/Taft Jordan-t-v/Sandy Williams-tb/Pete Clark-as/Edgar Samson-as-a/Elmer Williams-ts/Joe Steele-p/John Trueheart-bj-g/John Kirby-sb) .

"I Never Knew " (mx.265157-1) b/w "On The Sunny Side Of The Street" (mx.152658-1). Recorded in NYC 10 October1933 and 20 December 1933 respectively.

Grade E. Nice shine, a few light marks/lams that should not sound. Very, very light groove wear.  Great copy.

Grading:

I use the following grading scale:

E+: A choice copy with no wear whatsoever.

E: Virtually not trace of groove wear with minimal traces of use and handling.

E-: Above average with a slight degree of groove wear/marks not enough to seriously detract from audio quality.

V+: Obviously well played, still enjoyable. Noticable greying in the grooves.

V: Very well worn, but still listenable. Expect noticable surface noise. Possibly some stressed grooves.

V-: Pretty well gone. May be possible to coax a little more life out of it using the right stylus.

P: Most likely unplayable. Filler copy.

On records where grades between sides are vastly different I will use a dual grade (ex. E/V-).

I have been collecting 78 rpm records for over 40 years. I try to be very conservative with grading. Most buyers should be very pleased.

Unless otherwise specified, any label issues in the photos are the result of glare from the camera flash and not on the labels themselves.

Shipping:

Records will be securely shipped using cardboard squares and foam peaunts. I've been mailing 78 rpm records for some time now and have not yet lost a record in shipping.

I will combine wins to save on shipping. If you have mutiple wins, please do not pay until receiving an invoice.

I will ship to international locations, however, international shipping has become quite expensive. Please email before bidding if you are outside of the U.S. Be advised I will NOT accept returns on any items shipped outside of the U.S.

Please email me with any questions. Good luck and thanks for looking. I plan on listing around 20 records of the same types every two weeks. Please keep an eye open for more Jazz/Blues/Dance band records.
