PRINCE AND THE REVOLUTION PURPLE RAIN SEALED ORIGINAL LP NM JACKET/MINT VINYL WB 1984 WITH POSTER (NOT A REISSUE)
This highly awesome, timeless record is still sealed in the original factory plastic shrink-wrap with the original "hype" sticker, and according to the sticker, a poster enclosed with the vinyl record. The vinyl is thought to be "Mint" based on the fact that it has been sealed since production in 1984, and lays flat (see pictures, there is no apparent warpage from storage). The Jacket is graded as "Near Mint" due to the fact that the original (and pretty cool) "Rolling Stone" record store price tag is affixed over the shrink, and there are a few mildly softened corners from shipping and/or shelf storage (see pictures of upper right hand corner and lower right hand corners). This is not a promo and has no factory or distributor cutting (mangling) of the jacket nor any stamping (ruining) of the jacket. This is the Original 1984 Warner Brothers version printed in the USA with "Limited Edition Full Color Poster" and includes the hit tunage from the hit movie.
Please note that the small circular tears in the shrink on the front are factory-produced; they are there to assist the customer in getting their finger pad in there to produce the friction needed to tear the shrink off without damaging the LP jacket.
My grading scale:
M = Mint (hardly any record could be considered mint, as most already have some flaw or damage, especially to the jacket corners and edges, by the time they reach the store shelf; the vinyl disc inside of sealed jackets, or vinyl never before played, can be considered mint, although truthfully they may contain dust or interruptive particles and/or flaws from the manufacturing and assembly processes)
NM = Near Mint (most new and lightly used records would fall under this category)
VG+ = Better than VG but not quite NM
VG = Very Good (noticeable flaws from normal use and/or improper shipping and/or normal and/or improper storage, but still highly listenable and presentable)
G = Worse than VG but not quite trash. No major skips or horrendous irreversible surface noise, but still obviously well used.
TRASH = watch Hoarders, trash it, or recycle it, no need to keep it around in $1 bins or people's living spaces
