on the sidney records label, red label with black print, original 1st pressing, stereo pressing, from 1974.  10 tracks:  today is the first day;  trade winds;  rain sometimes;  lady day & john coltrane;  that's all right with me;  he's come back;  too soon you're old;  slow hot wind;  what's goin' on;  amazing grace.  produced and arranged by ray tabs (whose 2lp set i now have up for sale as well).  strings arranged and conducted by richard evans.    very reasonable reserve on this one, i've seen them go for much more in worse condition.  matte cover is VG/VG+, with 5" split in upper right corner, some light seam/corner wear, and a bit of ring/rub wear.   vinyl is VG on side one, with some light paper scuffs, and a few light marks.  side two vinyl is slightly better, VG/VG+, with a few light paper scuffs, and a couple light marks......both sides of this record have some pressing bubbles, typical to this record.   vinyl play grades better than it looks, ('too soon you're old' plays great, only a couple light pops) although it still plays with some occasional light background noise, and a few pops here and there......still a very nice copy of this very rare lp.   vinyl has been cleaned on a VPI.    please check my other auctions, featuring a small batch of funk, soul, r n' b, soul jazz, and other lp's, and a handful of northern soul 45's as well.....buy a bunch and save on shipping.    this will probably be my last batch before the new year.

while i strive to keep my ebay sales fun and hassle free, i do have a couple new rules, due to some unfortunate activity from my previous rounds of auctions:    both ITALY & FRANCE customers must pay for REGISTERED AIRMAIL shipping, regardless of the final value of the item(s)......no EXCEPTIONS!   this starts at $24.00 for one lp.    i've avoided this new policy for some time, but in one of my last rounds of auctions i had four charge-backs, so this has become mandatory.....shipping prices are quoted below.   also, i do not accept bids from those of you with zero feedback.  sorry, no exceptions.  thanks in advance for your understanding.  as always, i will not end auctions early, please don't even bother to ask.


all records are original pressings unless noted......i do not sell current reissues.  please ask any questions early, as i am not always by my computer near the end of auctions.    buyer pays shipping, see rates below.   all records are shipped in dedicated record mailers, with record shipped outside of cover when applicable, with two cardboard inserts.   paypal is the only accepted form of payment at this time.


i have to state that i will ship for $4.00 according to new ebay rules, but i do not like to use media rate, or first class domestic either....both take far too long, and items have sometimes gone missing as well.   if you absolutely have to save $3.00 on shipping, then that is what you'll get, media rate for $4.00, including delivery confirmation....to me, as a seller (and a buyer, for that matter) it takes too long, and i end up with too many questions ( 'where is my record?'   'when did you ship it?'  etc, etc).   i strongly urge you to use priority......you can avoid a heavy box of books being placed on your fragile record, and you'll get it so much faster.    i prefer you use priority shipping with the US, and the cost is $7.00, including delivery confirmation.   first class airmail shipping to CANADA is also $7.00.   first class airmail shipping to MOST OF EUROPE, JAPAN & AUSTRALIA is $14.00.   first class airmail & registered shipping is $24.00 worldwide, and is required on all shipments to both ITALY and FRANCE.   I DO NOT SHIP to SOUTH AMERICA, MEXICO or ISRAEL at this time, NO EXCEPTIONS.   i will gladly combine items to save on shipping, i try not to make ANY money on shipping costs, i typically lose money honestly.   payment is expected within 7 days of auction end.   thanks for looking, and good luck.
