Description

Description

Offered here is a SHASHAMANE ETHIOPIA release of PETER BROGSS, tited PROGRESSIVE YOUTH. The record is in EXC condition. The ORIGINAL jacket is in VG shape. SIGNED BY LEGENDARY REGGAE SUPERSTAR PETER BROGGS. Also included is a REFERENCE DISC (TEST PRESSING) FOR RASTAFARI LIVETH. THE FIRST LP RELEASED ON RAS RECORDS.

This is the original pressing of Peter Broggs first LP. Produced by Bingy Bunny on the Shasamane label of England and backed by the original Roots Radics. This is autographed to Doctor Dread by Peter Broggs. This was the album where Doctor Dread discovered Peter Broggs and went on the record Rastafari Liveth, the first LP to be released on the RAS label. Peter always called this his opportunity album, since it landed him a deal with RAS. Reportably only 500 copies were pressed of this. And it is extremely rare to find.

As a bonus for the auction winner, we are including a reference disc (test pressing) of Rastafari Liveth which was cut in the studio on an acetate the night the album was mixed at Lion & Fox studio in Washington DC. This is highly collectable as it is the first disc ever made for the RAS label and is a great LP. It has been preserved in Doctor Dread’s personal collection for over 25 years.

Bid with confidence for these truly collectable pieces of history.
