Rare PROG/Rock LP which features amazing music throughout! This was also Sampled by DJ Shadow for one of my favorite songs by him. This is the very rare British pressing of Pekka Pohjola’s second album, Harakka Bialoipokku, or B The Magpie. A wonderful album, this is PROG/Rock with some distinct classical (reviewers usually single out Sibelius), Scandinavian folk, and jazz influences. Pohjola plays bass and piano; his band includes such well-known musicians as Coste Apetrea and Pekka Poyry. Recorded in Stockholm in the autumn of 1974 this is the story of a little bird named Bialoipokku (B The Magpie)-a concept album about his adventures told completely without words or vocals of any kind, again proving that instrumental music can be all encompassing. ORIGINAL Rare Recording, so bid accordingly.
