Highly collectable release from audiophile label, Classic Records. This title was mastered at Half Speed from the original source master tapes. An all-analog, tube amplification process was used at every step, then pressed on high quality virgin vinyl, one sided at 45 RPM, for the highest possible audio quality.
Classic Records used a proprietary vinyl that guaranteed virtually no surface noise and sonically superior dynamics.
In short, this is as good as this album is ever going to sound on vinyl. Don't wait... this four record set is long out of print and growing harder to find - especially in this brand new, still sealed condition.
The records are new and still sealed in their original tight shrink wrap. Corners are sharp, colors vibrant and spines are straight. There are no flaws or blemishes. 100% mint.
Review: 1959 Reiner/CSO recording of Prokofiev's Lt. Kije is outstanding both in sound and performance. The transfer was directly from the original 3-track tape for the first time and offers low level detail that has been obscured on all previous versions including original pressings. This is a musical/audiophile Must have - 10++ rating on this Lewis Layton recording!
