SPECIAL CHRISTMAS SALE PRICE $345.00 ULTRA RARE 1967 CAPTAIN BEEFHEART SAFE AS MILK LP - FIRST ISSUE MONO WHITE LABEL PROMO Offered is a very rare LP from 1967. Captain Beefheart's Safe as Milk LP with a white label promo copy of the LP WLP. This was Don Van Vliet's First Studio album and it was an incredible selection of music!!! Nearly every song on this LP is simply awesome!! From the opening Sure 'Nuff 'n Yes I Do to the hard rock sound of Electricity, then the very cool Abba Zaba and Dropout Boogie, you cannot dismiss this LP as not being one of the best Rock 'n Roll albums of all time!! Even John Lennon and George Harrison of The Beatles were smitten by this incredible new sound emerging from California at the time!!
The vinyl still has nearly all of it's original sheen!! It's in Excellent condition; only a couple of tiny hairlines and no scratches at all. There are some tiny marks on both sides of the vinyl that aren't scratches or scuffs, it probably just needs a good cleaning, but we'll leave that up to you. Overall the vinyl is a Strong EXCELLENT Condition!!! Please note: we do visual grading only. The copy is A-1 on one side and B-1 on the other side in the deadwax, so you know it's a first issue LP. It comes with a plain inner sleeve which we believe is the original inner sleeve that these WLP copies would have been issued with. The original jacket is only Very Good condition with a lot of ring wear but no seam splits. You can still read most of the spine print. See pictures for exact condition.
