OK - This is it!!!!! the Real McCoy!!! - the Holy Grail of 60s Psychedelic albums...in its rarest format 

The phenomenal 'Odessy And Oracle' by the Zombies

Original 1968 UK MONO FIRST Pressing  - they come no Rarer - Monos are far outnumbered by the more common stereo, the Mono version has different, clearer mixes too

This is more than a vinyl record, this is historic ....you will not find another copy of this on ebay anytime soon, especially in this condition...I am starting bidding low as I want this to find its own value...as opposed to pricing ridiculously high (as has been seen in the past)

Matrix runoffs are A1//B1 - ABSOLUTE 1st pressing  - Made in ENGLAND

MONO - the MONO version doesnt indicate mono - the stereo version will say stereo on the label, which is the only way to visually tell

Audiably of course its obvious  - if in doubt just visit Popsike to see previous auctions though

Comes with the original 'The Sound of Entertainment' advertising inner sleeve

Test played on my Technics 1210 with high quality Bose speakers ....I found the following (track by track):

Side 1 has a virtually crackle free intro before the music starts

Theres a little light crackling between songs, quite quiet, wouldnt bother me personally but just being clear

A Rose for Emily

Maybe after he's gone - one click about a minute in - nothing else

Beechwood Park

Brief Candles - a little crackling on the intro  - difficult to detect though

Hung up on a dream 

Side 2 has a little crackle on the intro before the music starts - also slight crackle between tracks - but again its not very noticeable

Changes - a little light crackling in the quieter parts

So lets grade it (Record Collector standard grading descriptions)

The record itself is an easy EX, as mentioned Ive played it all the way through with a decent system - OBVIOUSLY no jumps, just a little crackle here and there and very few clicks (I count 2)...nothing Id call a 'pop', visually, there are a couple of light surface marks which is why I've given it very close attention to detail when listening. I'm being cautious.

The Sound quality by the way is absolutely gorgeous - Ive owned a few recent pressings - nothing compares to the clarity of the original Mono we have here 

The record labels - clean, orangle CBS - TEXTURED,  no writing, both sides - all there is to note is some spindle wear under the light

 The sleeve spine is EX nicely readable, a little rounded as you'd expect but very very little I can pick up in terms of creasing

The sleeve  - overall this is an EX+!!! - no ringwear - very little wear to the bottom spine - none to the top spine - CERTAINLY nothing even threatening a split.

The opening side is neat, crisp, all I can really fault with it are a couple of faint hairline creases and MINISCULE corner wear ...and I mean tiny 

Inner sleeve is a CBS company advertiser - this is slightly creased and has the odd small tear to the centre circle - but in decent shape - will let you make up your own minds on the inner, you can see what I mean from the pictures

 What else can I say - its an absolute masterpiece musically and this is a superb example of an album that these days never comes up for auction.

 Grab it before I change my mind - I dont need much persuading to hang onto it - what a record!!!  

 Incidentally - over the next few weeks I will be selling a good few albums of similar genre and era, in similar condition, if this interests you keep an eye outfor some more titles
