Description
This super rare copy of "LOOSE CAPACITOR" (not sure how many copies pressed?) is in good, more than acceptable condition with a few light scratches as well as a number of light surface marks. The record has been conservatively play graded and tests extremely well with no major loss in sound quality or enjoyment. It has an inner sleeve plus the original silk-screen printed cover. The cover is somewhat discoloured due to the fact it is 47 years old!! Recorded by Hollick and Taylor (Handsworth, Birmingham) during June 1971 (HT/LPS 1306). There are three tracks: Side One: "Azreal" Side Two: "Shadow Bright" and "No One To Blame". Please Google "Ptolomy Psycon" to read some interesting reviews/references to see the history and myths that surround this record. It was recorded in June 1971 by a group of school boys (including me as Lead Guitarist) at Wrekin College in Shropshire. We were all 16 years old at the time. It was a one-take production in two-track stereo with no re-mixing or editing afterwards. Original copies in very good condition have sold for more than 1000 GBP in recent years. Very sought after. PLEASE NOTE: (1) This copy has been mounted on my studio wall safely behind glass in a custom display picture frame (as shown) for the past 35+ years hence it has not been played since around 1983. It has therefore not been subject to extreme climatic variation or damage. It is also very much vintage vinyl (decent weight) so has not warped. (2) I HAVE LISTED IT AS "GOOD" AS I DO NOT WANT ANY PROBLEMS AFTER THE SALE GOES THROUGH, HOWEVER, IT COULD POSSIBLY BE GRADED GOOD+ OR EVEN VERY GOOD? Please refer to the UK Record Collector definitions where even Very Good Condition allows for noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Please also note that there is minor damage (see photo) to the centre label on Side One. This happened despite me taking due care when removing the mounting tape when taking it out of the display frame. (3) DUE TO THE RARITY OF THIS ITEM, THERE IS A 400 GBP START PRICE TO THIS AUCTION(4) PAYMENT STRICTLY VIA PAYPAL LINKED TO A MAJOR CREDIT CARD. (5) PLEASE ENQUIRE REF. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING AS I WILL NOT SHIP TO CERTAIN LOCATIONS (6) BEFORE BIDDING, PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR AN ESTIMATE FOR SHIPPING ON A TRACKED AND SIGNED FOR BASIS. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information if you have any questions. I will be pleased to help.
