This is the LP 33rpm original vinyl record "PTOOFF!" by The Deviants, which includes a psychedelic artwork poster done as a 6-panel foldout, with extensive notes, including a review by John Peel.

The Deviants were originally called The Social Deviants; "Ptooff!" was their debut album, sold only through mail order via the underground press. Only eight thousand copies were sold on the Underground Impresarios label (before being picked up by Decca), which adds to the interest and collectability of this first pressing.

The reverse of the poster is good - there is a little bit of staining on the bottom of the left vertical edge and the folds show some wear, as would be expected. This has worn through on one corner of the folds, on the upper section (top centre) and to a small degree on the lower section (bottom centre) - can be seen on the photograph and also a very slight darkening in the vertical centre crease. But I don't feel that any of this detracts unduly.

The foldout poster/sheet with notes is in reasonable condition.  The creases are a little worn, as one would expect and slightly darkened along the middle vertical fold.  There is some wear on the horizontal folds, more apparent on the top one and slight on the lower one. Where the vertical and horizontal folds meet, it has worn through, but not so much as to detract unduly. There are a few small stains, nothing too bad. Now, someone has written their name in very fine pen on a not terribly obvious part of the artwork, on the top right panel – it really doesn’t show from a distance, but I mention this for accuracy. There is also a pen-written “surface noise” addition on the lower right panel. This does show a bit. Considering that this was written by a 13 year old, I don’t feel it’s a technical comment! All records have surface noise and I don’t believe that this is a reflection on the quality of playback! Perhaps all of this adds to the character of this underground collectable!

I cannot actually play this, as I don’t have the equipment, but nor would I anyway, as I leave it to the serious collector to decide. I am describing this as I see it and am selling this item as it is and as a piece of memorabilia. Side 1 of the disc appears to be in good order. There are 3 fine surface hairline scratches which on close inspection don’t appear to have damaged the groove. There are a couple of tiny indentation that look as if they might affect the track slightly, I believe that this is negligible.

Side 2 has similar hairline marks, again I don’t believe that these are detrimental. There are a couple of surface marks also, which again, I do not believe are serious or that would affect the playabiity or the sound.

There is no inner sleeve. I’m not convinced that there ever was one, the poster, when folded, has two arrows and some wording, indicating where to insert the record. I would imagine that for protection purposes, you could obtain a spare inner sleeve, if needed.

The cover artwork and text is by Kipps and Kensho. The copyright notice is for 1968, which might be the way the notice works, as my research seems to point to the actual record being released in 1967.
