Description
PUBLIC IMAGE LIMITED: Second Edition 2 x Vinyl LP
Second Edition was initially released in a Metal Box in 1979, this version was issued 3 months later (Feb 1980) in a gatefold sleeve as Virgin had decided it was too expensive to make any more tins. This is the original gatefold sleeve release (not to be confused with the later VGD 3513 1987 Reissue).
Virgin Records (VD 2512) PIL logo labels in 4 different colours:- Black - Side A Red - Side B Green - Side C Yellow - Side D
All 4 sides have been play tested and sound great. There are some light, superficial scuffs on the vinyl which show up in strong light, but they do not affect play. Labels have some slight age related discolouration on the white parts, but it looks minor in my opinion, particularly given the record is now 43 years old,
Gatefold sleeve has some storage related ring, corner and edge wear, and a bit of discolouration (see photos) but no rips or splits.
