PUBLIC IMAGE LTD.-SECOND EDITION 1979 ISLAND RECORDS GATEFOLD 2 LP'S 2WX 3288 IN A STRONG VG+ CONDITION. MOSTLY CLEAN VINYL X 2!! The former leader of the Sex Pistols John Lydon a.k.a Johnny Rotten and the boys on their 2nd release in this auction. In the US this album was released in both the famed Metal Box and as this 2 album gatefold. The tracks make this one an avant-garde masterpiece where Lydon spews out his lyrics with venom and melancholy throughout. Some of the notable cuts include Albatross, Swan Lake, Socialist and Bad Baby. All fans of the famed lead singer, the band or the genre need this one in their hands, it's an essential.
The records are both in an easy VG+ condition with just a very light hairline on sides 1 & 3 neither of which hampers play at all, both play well throughout. The gatefold cover has the gold promo stamp in the lower left hand front corner(see picture), minor wear along the edges, minor rubs on the corners and a wisp of ring wear front and back. One of the original inner sleeves has 3 small splits and one has one small split, both hold their respective records fine. A fantastic buy!!
