BIENVENUE AU CONSEIL D'ADMINISTRATION Lp music by PULSAR text / lyrics written by PETER HANDKE. Original French private pressing on COMPAGNIE DU THEATRE DE LA SATIRE label (CS 811), from 1981. Amazingly spacey and addictive, post punk prog from France with avantgarde spoken word text over the music. Reminds us of a mix between Chene Noir and the Jacky Chalard - Dynastie Crisis Lp Je Suis Vivant Mais J'ai Peur (the one with the science fiction book readings of Gilbert Deflez set to psychedelic rock score ;) This strange Pulsar collaboration with Austrian novalist and experimental Theatre playwrite, Peter Handke is another key concept album with musique fantastique behind sometimes spooky, sometimes apocalyptic spoken word. The music is mesmerising and cutting-edge for 1981. Hallucinogenic futuristic arrangements with that indie / no wave / ambient / alternative funk sound featuring stoned electronics / art rock guitar shredding / some late nite sax / baroque motifs / tape manipulation / obsessive beats and dub style basslines. The narration riding the music or providing the interludes just deepens the overall, psychedelic feel of the session. Hip mix-tape / sample potential with underground moods that should appeal to the Andy Votel / Doug Shipton / B-Music loving DJ and collector. Our soundclip opens with the druggy IL FAIT FROID, ICI ... followed by several other important trax. Superb production sound. Tres cosmic and trippy just like the bizarre sleeve artwork ;) Original sleeve insert included. Killer Lp!!! Please see photos for full tracklisting...
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
Vinyl is closer to shiny, M- condition overall with a few faint hairlines from sleeve removal and some faint pressing blemishes. Shallow dish cum slight storage warp to vinyl but does not affect playback on our turntable. Item previously unplayed when obtained and has only been played a few times before the recording of our soundclip. Superb production sound. Some light surface noises. A few soft pops / soft ticks (as you can hear on our soundclip). The laminated soft card sleeve is in M- condition with minimal wear. Just a little laminate peeling to middle top edge of the back sleeve (see photo). Original sleeve insert included. Sharp looking item. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Rare Lp!!!
