Release date: October 1965
On offer here is an ULTRA RARE original AUSTRALIAN issue of THE PURPLE HEARTS debut 7” single “Long Legged Baby“, released on Sunshine Records. The A-side is a FRANTIC UP-TEMPO cover version of the GRAHAM BOND ORGANISATION number from 1964, whilst the flip “Here ‘Tis“ is a rendition of the BO DIDDLEY tune (note song writing credit is under his real name ELLAS McDANIEL).

VG- visual: lots of mainly light scuffs and handling wear (few light scratches across side 2, G+ to VG-). A GAP-FILLER UNTIL A BETTER COPY TURNS UP – IMPOSSIBLY RARE IN ANY CONDITION - GOOD LUCK TRYING TO FIND ANOTHER!
audible: surface noise, crackle and occasional pops which do not adversely affect the listening experience (side 2 has more deterioration) – ideal for jukebox. DEFINITELY NO JUMPS OR SKIPS.
labels: very minor spindle wear, side 1: writing ‘P.J. DAVIS’, ‘COLOURED BALLS’ and minor stamp (two letters); side 2: writing ‘PAUL DAVIS’.
