African-American rock band from Cleveland, Ohio, formed in the late 1960s.
Purple Image plays mind-bending psychedelic rock, inspired by Sly and the Family Stone, Steppenwolf, Jimi Hendrix.
The LP's masterpiece, is the 15-minute, 24-second "Marching to a Different Drummer." A Monstertrack!
The band’s unique psychedelic sound is an attestation to the times in which they were immersed, and a reflection of their own reality. This album is an outstanding example of psychedelic rock and funk fusion that shouldn’t be missed.
