Description

SIGNALS FROM EARTH - Pygmy Unit, privately issued (LPS-3460), 1974

Pygmy Unit were a group of experimental jazz players from San Francisco that developed a sound by blending the usual jazz instruments with the instruments and music of non-industrial cultures.

One thousand copies of this record were issued.  This particular copy has a disc that is in pristine condition (NM) but the good news sort of ends there.  The jacket (G) has what looks to be some coffee stains and someone has misspelled the band's name on the cover with green ink.  Also, I'm told that there was an insert of some kind originally - this is no longer present.

Truely an obscure and unusual record.
