Description

Pacific Drift Feelin Free UK 1970 LP Deram Nova Records Catalogue Number DN 13, Post-Wimple Winch groov-a-thon. With both feet on good ship prog, but with plenty of over-the-shoulder glances back across the choppy waves to the rapidly diminishing Isle of Psych. Highlights include the beautiful 'Garden Of Love', 'Norman' (a blend of syke and brassy progressive pop, with a flutey prog ending), 'Tomorrow Morning Brings' (a floating harpsichord pop beauty), 'Grain Of Sand' (swirling late-psych / Moodies influenced), 'Greta The Legend' (amazing guitar break), 'Happy Days' (slow and grinding, again with brass), and the wonderful 'Going Slow' (hypnotic and psychish with a great wah wah finale). A mostly splendid post-psych album. NOTE: the sleeve notes & labels give writers credit to Lawrence Arends. Not "Arendes" as previously cited in many publications and Wimple Winch releases. Sleeve VG+ (tear on front cover see pic), Record EX, P&P at cost depending on buyers requirements
