Description

Pacific Jazz LP-16 The Bob Brookmeyer Quartet, featuring Bob Brookmeyer, trombone, John Williams, piano, Frank Isola, drums, Bill Anthony and Red Mitchell, bass. Eight selections, including Liberty Bell, Have You Met Miss Jones?, Isn't It Romantic?, Traditional Blues, Doe Eyes, Red Devil, Body and Soul, Last Chance.

Vinyl 8/10, with few light surface scuffs and scratches. Side 2 has 1/16" factory shallow depression on Band 4, inaudible. Auditioned, plays well with punchy mono sonics and very light surface noise. No visible spindle marks. Side 2 has paper sticker and slight damage to label (see image).

Jacket 6/10 has extensive split seams but is still in one piece; traces of cellophane tape on front and rear; faint rubber stamp on rear (radio station). Produced by Richard Bock, engineered by Rudy Van Gelder, photo and cover design by William Claxton. Nice listening copy of this 1954 jazz classic.
