Bought this album years and years ago, and just realized I had never opened it. Listened to the CD plenty, which must've inspired the LP purchase. Very weird. Anyway, mint condition shoegazing classic!

The Comforts of Madness is the debut studio album from the Pale Saints, released on 4AD in 1990. The album set Ian Masters' dreamy, choirboy-like vocals against dark and slightly experimental noise pop. Released to rave reviews, it remains their most celebrated and well-known album.
