Description
Fantastically rare, possibly unique, 1975 test pressing of the privately-pressed self-titled debut LP Paradis, from the Icelandic rock psych prog pop band, featuring former members of Svanfridur, Pelican, Nattura, Icecross, and others. Plain white labels. Side One's label features the hand-written name "Petur Kristjans" (a.k.a. Petur W. Kristjansson, Paradis' lead vocalist). Side Two's label is blank. No record label is listed, but the LP's catalog number is hand-scratched into both inner grooves (Side One: PAR-002-A-1; Side Two: PAR-002-B-1). Also includes an original 3-1/2" x 4-11/16" color photo print of the band standing on the rocks near the ocean--the shot that would become the official LP release's back cover. Record is in a plain white cardboard sleeve. Sleeve, disc and photo are all packaged inside an oversized manila folder, with the band's name (here spelled "Paradys") hand-written twice on the back.
