Description
Paramount Records October 1929 Dealer List.
We were recently fortunate to purchase a record and ephemera collection from the family of the late, John Godrich, who as the Blues men will already know, was a pioneering pre war blues archivist and close associate of Paul Oliver, he also co-authored the legendary "Blues & Gospel Records 1902-1943" in 1964 which is now recognized as the bible on the subject.
Amongst the ephemera was this Paramount Records dealer list for October 1929 which was leant by him to Max E. Vreede when he was compiling the Paramount records book for Storyville in the late 60s, we also have a signed and dedicated copy of said book which is included in the sale.
We have never seen another one of these before and can't be 100% sure it's the real deal from 1929 or a later copy but it looks and feels right, having said that we are not experts on ephemera of this era.
It measures approximately 12" x 8.5" (Inches) when folded open.
In Good Condition (has some foxing and wear to the bottom, see pics).
