Description

An original 1st press of EASTER on UK Artista. Matrix A1/B1. First released in March 1978. Etching 'Bilbo'. Take a close look at the labels and you will notice the type setters seem to have had a real aversion to capital letters! There are literally no capital letters at all on the initial copies - this appears to have been the original aesthetic they wanted. It wouldn't take long for an executive to take a look at this layout and have a heart attack! For the next batch they would capitalise letters and change the side indicators to 1 & 2 instead of a & b. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover FULLY laminated cover using heavy card stock. We also have the original quality inner sleeve. Lyric sheet is present. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Remarkable preservation - practically perfect. Mirror surfaces without a mark. If you want an all time show-stopper copy... you came a knockin' at the right door. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback WITHOUT RESERVATION. Audio quality is stunning. It has that 'in the studio' quality. Can't imagine any copy holding a candle to this badboy. Perfect reproduction. Clean as a whistle. A couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side.  FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Vg+) In super condition with a lovely shiny and flat front. Check out the bottom right corner - there is a dark brown aberration/patch [don't miss it!]. The rear is equally good. There's no edge wear and razor sharp openings. Four pointy corners. The spine is in excellent order, but has FADED.. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very nice specimen indeed.
Inner (Vg+) Lightest ageing. Bag present. No splits.
Lyric/Poster (Ex) Perfect! No ageing at all. No creases. Really impressive.
