Description

Hi. Feast your eyes and hopefully your ears on an ORIGINAL TRUE FIRST PRESSING (PLASTIC PRODUCTS), WHITE LABEL/HORSES ULTRA RARE PROMOTIONAL LP of the great artist/iconoclast Patti Smith's highly influential and masterful debut album HORSES (Arista - AL 4066 -1975). 
Here are the etched identifiers that appear on the record:

    • Matrix / Runout (Side 1 [etched]): AL-4066-SA PP MOM+DAD RL
    • Matrix / Runout (Side 2 [etched]): AL-6066-SB RE PP Daddy Frank Linda+Todd RL (The 6066 is an error and was later crossed out and corrected on non-promotional copies which makes this one all the more RARE!)
    • Matrix / Runout (Side 1 & 2 [stamped]): STERLING
    • Other Identifiers: HORSES in white letters; subsequent pressings were in black. Glossy cover. Original mix.


VINYL: EXCELLENT. Upon first glance both sides appear lustrous and NEAR MINT. A closer look will reveal a few light scuffs. I'm a conservative grader so EX. These scuffs do not interfere with consistently full and beautiful playback. 
SLEEVE: VERY GOOD+. Quite glossy still. Shows signs of ring wear, Very small tears top and bottom left corners, right corners are slightly creased, two small scratches in the gloss on front cover, a slight bit of chipping on spine, a couple of tiny dings lower right side front and back covers. NO seam splits. Promotional hole punch through the front and back covers - no worries as record is unscathed! Promotional sticker on back cover. An actual sales sticker from a record store back in the day on back cover (Promos were rarely placed in shrink and/or sold in stores).
