Patti's masterpiece of perseverance through unthinkable loss.
In the span of about 5 years, Patti lost her husband, her best friend, her brother and one of her band mates. Her album Gone Again was a cathartic expression of mourning.
A year later she released this beautiful album. While it returns to her aggression driven rock roots, the ghosts of her loved ones can be felt in the haunting performances. Including the fantastic "Waiting Underground," the grammy-nominated single "1959," and "Last Call," which features REM vocalist Michael Stipe.
I bought this new at Tower Records in 1998 and only played it a couple times. Record looks great. Sleeve has slight ring wear and minor fraying on top. Back cover looks pristine. Paper insert has a couple wrinkles.
