Description
This is an extremely rare 1970 US original pressing of Paul McCartney's debut solo album, "McCartney," released on Apple Records. The vinyl features the STERLING stamp, with side A bearing the hand-etched "LH" initials of mastering specialist Lee Hulko, and side B showcasing the hand-etched "RL" initials of renowned specialist Robert 'Bob' Ludwig, along with "LH," making it a unique double signature pressing.
The record is housed in its original gatefold sleeve, which remains in excellent condition. Notably, both the jacket and inner sleeve are stamped with "FOR EXPORT ONLY," indicating its rarity. The vinyl itself retains a beautiful gloss, with only minor pressing marks typical of US pressings, which do not affect playback. The gatefold jacket is very clean, with the opening edge carefully cut with a cutter.
This album was stored in a dark place since its purchase around 55 years ago and has been well-preserved. It's a rare find, especially in such excellent condition.
