This is the Columbia Records Half Speed Mastered edition Paul McCartney and Wings' classic LP "Band On The Run". I am the original owner of this album, purchased at a Sound Warehouse location for $10.99 in 1981 (as evidenced by the original sales sticker on the sleeve. As noted by the photographs, it appears I did make an attempt to open this LP at one time but noting that I could not open it without tearing the "Mastersound" sticker, it was never opened. There are slight tears to the sticker on both sides but the factory sealed sticker is still in tact. Available for a limited time in 1981, this is a rare issue from McCartney's five years on Columbia. The Half Speed Mastered (Extended Range Recording) was a series of audiophile issues of some of the greatest albums of all time. Now they're some of the most sought after and hard to find. This is a chance to own an unopened mint version. A must for McCartney collectors and audiophiles in general. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information or more photographs.
