Paul Simon - "Greatest Hits, Etc." (Columbia, 1977) / Signed and dated by Simon in '78 - inscribed to collaborator Ralph MacDonald /
We were fortunate enough to purchase some material of Ralph MacDonald's after his death. This signed Simon album is one of the nicer titles. Mr. MacDonald (1944-2011) was a noted percussionist (his collaborations are legion), songwriter ("Where is the Love?"; "Just the Two of Us") and performer ("Calypso Breakdown," etc.). He released many albums as leader/chief, but provided percussion for many other artists, including, most relevantly, Paul Simon. He was a featured player on "Still Crazy After All These Years" (Columbia, 1975) and on the tremendously popular "Graceland" (Warner Bros., 1986). Naturally, the latter was still in the future when Simon inscribed this 1977 "Greatest Hits". Both sleeve and record has significant wear, but the inscription is clean and clear. N.B.: USPS media mail is certainly available, though I was unable to provide it in the attached mailing options. If you'd prefer this cheap mailing mode, please let me know at the conclusion of the auction and I'll revise your invoice. The cost for media mail would be $5.00

For the US, we usually prefer to ship everything USPS priority mail or first class with a delivery confirmation number. Priority mail offers average 2-3 days delivery of shipment. Other methods of shipping are available upon request. Postcards, photos, and flat items will be shipped priority mail for best service. We will ship worldwide. PLEASE NOTE:international buyers please be aware of currency exchanges and we will assess shipping rates accordingly. If there are specific exporting problems involving the item that you won, let us know about this ahead of time please. For international buyers any additional costs, such as tax or duties will be incurred by the customer.
