Description

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a truly unique and very rare Victor Picture Disc. This disc is in beautiful condition graded Excellent ++. I have played it several time on my Dual 1229 turntable using a Shure M78S Cartridge and stylus and found the sound quality to be exceptional. This disc was carefully stored by its orginal ower in a album-book with a collection of 9 other Whiteman discs. This is a 12inch 78 RPM Disc featuring the following pieces;

Side A - Whispering (Paul Whiteman Orchestra), Japanese Sandman (Paul Whiteman Orchestral), Some of These Days (featuring Ramona and Roy Bargy), Ida (featuring Red Mackenzie), Dinah (featuring Peggy Healy), When Day is Done (featuring "Goldie" and the Paul Whiteman Orchestra).

Side B - St. Louis Blues (featuring Irene Taylor), Sweet Sue (featuring Jack Fulton), Mississippi Mud (featuring the Rhythm Boys), I Can't Give You Anything But Love (featuring Jane Vance and Al Dary), Wabash Blues (featuring Mike Pingatore) and Three O'Clock In The Morning (featuring the Paul Whiteman Orchestra).

Pressed in the US in about 1932 or 33 (I'm not absolutely sure... if someone knows for certain please let me know and I'll make the correction)

The disc features wonderful Art Deco graphics

I have very carefully inspected the disc and believe it to be an excellent example of a well cared for and cherished music artifact.

This disc was obtained from the private collection of Mr. Clarence Fornwald, teacher of music at Pittsburg High School in Pittsburg, California in 1940. Mr Fornwald recently passed at the celebratory age of just short of a century (97)! He was personally an accomplished musician and was able to play most instrument but, loved the violin and the viola! Mr Fornwald never lost his passion for life and enjoyed cruising with his lady friend until only a few years ago. He is greatly missed by his friends and family.
