Description
Used but mint condition Vinyl LP from Pearson Sound. As one third of the team behind the Hessle Audio label, David Kennedy a.k.a. Pearson Sound has become more than synonymous with the cutting edge of UK dancefloor music.
In releasing his self-titled debut artist album in 2015, he skilfully capitalised on his astoundingly solid run of single and EP releases since 2009, producing a hypnotically enveloping LP that really found its feet in its willingness to experiment. Since then, he has been focused on the club, with his recent single XLB being voted the #2 best track of 2016 by Resident Advisor, as well as Freeze & Thaw Cycle being a staple of some of the biggest house and techno DJs' record bags. He has lectured at the Red Bull Music Academy in Madrid, released a critically heralded FABRICLIVE compilation and has remixed artists like Radiohead, The xx and M.I.A. as well as running the vinyl only club night, Acetate, in Leeds. With the ten year anniversary of Hessle Audio on the horizon in 2017, somehow he’s still finding the time to help ensure that Hessle’s weekly radio show on London’s Rinse FM maintains its role as an essential part of the station’s broadcasting schedule.
