Description

Pelican - Australasia

Double black vinyl LP in a gatefold sleeve with an insert. There is a little rip in the inner sleeve of the second disc

Unhindered by the impositions of vocal yoke, Chicago instro-metal sorcerers Pelican transcend the limits of time and space to expand upon the stunning finesse and painstaking subtlety with which they command their already indelible sonic signature. Levying cinematic melody upon glacial heaviness, they achieve the sort of inevitability usually reserved for weather systems and natural disasters. A cyclical riptide of major-chord mastery and low-end triumph which one can only abdicate any and all tendencies to resist total immersion.
