I know very little about this record, other than knowing it has appeared on some hefty Japanese wants-lists over the years, and this is the first copy I've ever had (or indeed seen, for that matter). They issued a second single (on both 7" and 12") on the Cherry Red label which is currently available from Vinyl Tap for £50 - and that's just for the 7"! Blimey. The band have a page on Twee Net, but this release isn't even listed there... as I say, it's a rare one... As you might expect, it is a low-budget affair, but with an ambition that puts the band above most of their contemporaries... the instrumentation used is slightly unusual for a broadly indiepop single, encompassing both drum machine and, on a couple of the tracks, a saxophone (I think), which could have counted against it but, in the final reckoning, doesn't!
