Description

This is Mode Records MOD LP-112, Pepper Adams Quintet, a black and orange, deep groove label, original mono issue of this classic record, featuring Carl Perkins, Stu Williamson, Leroy Vinnegar and Mel Lewis. The record is visually in Near Mint  condition, showing no signs of wear but it plays with some light pressing noise audible during a few quiet parts and between tracks. In my experience this is typical of many Mode records and should not interfere with your listening experience but it prohibits me from grading it near mint. The glossy cover is excellent and intact. The labels show no spindle marks. This is an excellent collector's grade copy of this beautiful original mono record.  The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP-12 in mono mode.
