The record is still in excellent condition, the sleeve shows some signs of ageing, mainly at the edges.

The Modern Dance is the debut studio album by American rock band Pere Ubu. It was released in January 1978, on record label Blank in the USA and through Mercury Records in the UK.

The Modern Dance has been critically acclaimed. Ken Tucker in Rolling Stone called it vivid and exhilarating, even if "harsh and willfully ugly".[4]
