Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Play Grade Excellent Minus (Extremely sharp and clear sound, slight audible crackle throughout the tracks, slight background noise in between tracks, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, there are a few barely audible pops and clicks here and there on the record but they are very scarce and hardly noticeable. Excellent Minus sound quality (Playtested 18th December 2007)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Excellent (there are less than three or four handfuls of very light superficial hairline marks over both sides of the record, these do not affect playback in any way, there are no raised deep feelable scratches on the record though, there may be a few paper scuffs/traces from the inner sleeve under bright light but generally this records surface is very clean, looks to have been played on quite a few occasions by looking at spindle marks but it has been looked after and cared for very well, labels are very clean with no rips/tears to the label, there is only slight wear around the spindle holes, no pen marks or writing on the label, a very clean record)

Album Cover Grade: Excellent + (no major creasing to the front corners, no major creasing to the rear corners, no spine splits or top or bottom edge splits, there is no significant spine wear/rubbing and the spine is clearly legible, both top and bottom edges do not have any significant wear/rubbing on them, no rips or tears in the sleeve, very slight corner rubbing, hardly any staining/discolouration on the unlaminated rear, there is just slight ringwear on the front and back that is noticeable, there is no pen marks/writing on the sleeve either, no serious laminate lifting or peeling, overall a very nice sleeve)

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and will not jump, stick, or skip in any way. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
