ARTIST: Phil Woods and Gene Quill

TITLE: Phil and Quill with Prestige

LABEL: Prestige PRLP 7115 (original c1957 deep groove pressing, fireworks label, 447 West 50th Street address on back cover and both labels, RVG in dead wax on both sides)

CONDITION (vinyl/sleeve): VG / G I played the album all the way through because there are various scuffs, but no significant scratches. There were no skips, but during the quiet parts there's a bit of background noise, nothing too intrusive and during most of the album all that can be heard is the music. However, the 1st track on side one has a few pops at one point, and there's a small piece of something stuck to the last track of side 2 that causes 5-7 more pops. I'm betting with a little patience this can be removed. We'll grade it a conservative VG - most of it plays much better. The cover gets severely downgraded due to a moldy section at the bottom (see back cover photo, left side), with a three inch seam split and musty smell (which has cleared up considerably in the last couple days). There's a faint record store stamp on the back plus two "Not for sale" stamps, and a dampstain on the back top. Plus general shelfwear, a couple brown spots on the front. The only label defect is a small tear near the hole on side B.
