Philips W 09909 L Mengelberg Schubert 9th symphony

Philips W 09909 L dutch maroon label. Schubert 9th 'great' symphony.  Concertgebouw orchestra, Wilhelm Mengelberg.

I sell this week an almost complete set of the 'Documenta Musicae' series. This series was issued by philips in the late 1950's with radio recordings by Willem Mengelberg, previously unissued. So these are all originals! Some copies from this series are very rare. They all have an extensive gatefold set with lots of texts and beautiful photo's. The sleeves have almost always the problem of laminate peeling off, a factory mistake.

Gatefold Sleeve Ex+: creases at corner, record VG+ (number of superficial scuffs)

Grading:

  • M: never used. I don't use this grade unless the record is sealed
  • NM: No visible or audible faults
  • EX: Record has clearly been used, but has no major audible faults, some non sounding marks possible, maybe some dirt or light surface noise (especially on older mono record, surface noise is quite normal).
  • VG: Light audible faults, ticks or surface noise
  • G: scratches, etc. I don't sell record in this condition, unless they are very special and collectible.
Records are first graded visually. If I have doubts, I grade them on my linn lp12 / clearaudio concerto. If not satisfied, please contact me before leaving negative feedback. Paying buyers will receive positive feedback.
