Description
Philips A 00256 and 00257 L 2 lp set, minigroove pressing. Jan Smeterlin plays complete Chopin Nocturnes. Great performance. Mentioned by Gramophone a few years back as one of the greatest. Smeterlin uses tastfull natural ritenuto, never overly sentimental. All nocturnes stay intimate, no big fortes here! Rarely recorded artist, much neglected. This is the fist and original issue, in two sleeves with great design, one white, the other black. Sleeves are in great shape, Ex++, shining laminate. LP's also Ex+, only very slight pressing rumble at background on and a light non sounding nail rubb at start of 256. Strictly graded

Grading:
M: never used. I don’t use this grade unless the record is sealed
NM: No visible or audible faults
EX: Record has clearly been used, but has no major audible faults, some non sounding marks possible, maybe some dirt or light surface noise (especially on older mono record, surface noise is quite normal).
VG: Light audible faults, ticks or surface noise
G: scratches, etc. I don’t sell record in this condition, unless they are very special and collectible.
Records are first graded visually. If I have doubts, I grade them on my linn lp12 / clearaudio sigma.
