Description
Philly Joe Jones Showcase Riverside RLP 12-313,1960, mono, Deep Groove
Vinyl - VG++ to Near Mint. No scratches. Wonderful clean crisp play. Only a few short faint marks on each side that make very little noise and have truly minimal effect on the over-all sound quality. ( I just noticed a date etched into the runoff, 4-12-60 )
Note: Vinyl condition was upgraded after another listening; 70% or more of the album plays at near mint (meaning no issues, plays like new), 25% or less of the album plays at VG++ ('faint' intermittent ticks' in a few spots) and 5% plays at Strong VG+ (with only 6 - 10 medium-distinct ticks during the entire play of the album.
Cover - VG due to 3" split on bottom center edge, light minor surface soil/wear and very minor wear to corners.
This is an excellent copy of this hard to find first release album. I believe it is easily worth $100
