You are bidding on a copy of the album Pierre Henry Machine Danse.

This is an original LP vinyl pressing, not a vinyl reissue (nor is it a CD or CD-R for that matter).

The album was released in 1973 on the Philips record label, (Stereo 6510 013).

This is the rare French pressing of this album. I’m uncertain if there was a U.S. or U.K. edition of this record. There is  a special “Made in France” stamp on the inside of the LP sleeve (see photos).

Everyone knows Pierre Henry and Michel Colombier’s classic song “Psyche Rock” that has been used in various commercials over the last decade or so, and remixed by Fatboy Slim and others. But Machine Danse is a real gem, especially the title track which is like an electro-rock-rare groove song with some wicked guitars along with the analog synths and tape splicing. The rest of the album is some wonderfully trippy and spacey music. I’m surprised this hasn’t been sampled more!

This LP is in near mint condition (NM) and conservatively graded a 9 out of 10. The LP itself is immaculate and shiny. The sleeve is also super clean. The back of the sleeve has some barely noticeable ring wear towards the top, but one would have to really look out for it.

Overall, this LP looks and sounds amazing! Not quite time capsule condition, but almost. It has been stored in a climate-controlled, smoke-free environment away from sunlight.
