Incredibly rare 1st US pressing of Pink Floyd's 10th studio album "Animals" released in February, 1977. Original 1st print heavy cardboard gatefold cover without the bar code on the back. Iconic cover design with the image of the Battersea Power Station with a pig in the air. The front cover contains an original 1st print blue (NOT dark blue as on the second pressing) rectangular 4' x 2.75' "Pink Floyd Animals 34474" title hype sticker with the catalog number affixed to the shrink wrap in the upper right-hand corner. Columbia Records 1st print picture labels with a wet dog on Side 1 and a pig and a sheep on Side 2. It's impossible to find a copy of the 1st pressing of "Animals" in such a stunning factory sealed Mint condition. Brilliant final upgrade copy.★ Among the listings of the current auction you'll also find an incredibly rare original Columbia Records official 1977 retail promotional sales flyer advertising Pink Floyd's new album "Animals" reading "Animals is new Pink Floyd, on Columbia Records and Tapes" and promoting the supporting "history-making tour". The flyer, just like this copy of "Animals", are coming from a private collection of Pink Floyd, which we've acquired recently.
