I’ll preface this by saying I know nothing in respect to Pink Floyd albums. However I know EMI albums ,and Gramophone matrices very well. This record was given me in the seventies,while I was in London. I never played it to this day. Any surface marks on vinyl are only from taking record out of inner sleeve ,it’s as clean as I imagine you’ll ever see ,labels ,record ,and cover. Now the interesting things about this copy. That matrices ,mothers ,and stampers ,if using the Gramophone code,which until I actually took a closer look at record are great. I don’t know if this is because it’s a quadraphonic pressing or what. Side one after matrix stamped A 2 , at 9:00 1 Mother, at 3:00 A , so it’s first Mother ,3rd stamper . Side two. B 3 after matrix , at 9:00 1 ,at 3:00 T , 9 th stamper, hence first mother’s both sides and single digit stampers both sides . Matrix Q 4 SHVL 781 . I didn’t notice until taking pictures that it has a stamp on each label “ Gramophone Co.Ltd “ it’s difficult to see as it’s in green ink . I did as much homework online as I could . It appears from matrices ,mothers ,and stampers this is a 1970 or 1973 pressing, it’s difficult to decipher. If you’re reading this you’ll know which it is , I honestly don’t.The cover is just about perfect ,spine perfectly legible. If it appears otherwise in pictures it’s a reflection, I’m taking all pictures with a phone . At most bumps on top ,and bottom of spine, but I’m talking very minimal . This is one clean cover . NO seam splits . NO writing etc. Review pictures . I doubt if I have the paper inner sleeve ,as the first thing I’ve always done with vinyl is house them in poly sleeves . As I’ve never played it ,just put on table to be certain there are no warps, there are no traces around spindle hole. As I neither have a quad system, nor stylus ,and I’m not into Pink Floyd I never played it. I do love Quad on Paul Simons albums played on two channels ,as you hear things you’ve never heard before, but as PF is all about production in my opinion, it would be a moot point ...As this is a gatefold cover, shipping in USA $4.50 , rest of world $14.00 . Will NOT ship to Russia,China,Portugal etc. will ship to Western European countries ,and Japan, as they ( Japanese ) collectors have bought many high end Beatles albums from me in the past . I’m going to post a few more albums today hopefully. The Rolling Stones “ Sticky Fingers “ that has Velcro inside of cover ,apparently an attempt to lessen damage caused by the zipper, and possibly some Beatles today as well. Time permitting.
