Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon SOLID BLUE A2/B2 UK LP

DESCRIPTION: Pink Floyd LP- Dark Side of The Moon. Stickered Blue/Black gatefold sleeve. The sleeve does not have the flap that folds under (I have 2 more copies of this , one folds under, one doesnt and the one that does not is stickered!!). A2/B2 Matrix numbers. Solid Blue prism. Interestingly this came with a white poly lined inner of identical design to the commonly seen black one and bears the PATENT Nos 1125555 and 1072844. On another copy of this that I have, the 1st part of the patent number looks like it has at least one 6 in (though its hard to be certain) , which would make this an earlier inner! No posters or stickers with this. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Harvest SHVL 804 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1973 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): POOR+/FAIR. Vinyl is clean but very heavily marked with scratches. I have played this in its entirety on my Pro-ject deck. Vinyl sits flat on the turntable. It has strong crackling throughout, sometimes, particularly on side 1 you forget about it (at least I did when i was busy with something else) but at other times its intrusive. Side one is not too bad actually- Id grade it as FAIR , though it skips 5 or 6 times towards the end of "Time". Side 2 is not very good at all and this would be graded as POOR. It skips frequently during "Money". "Us and them" has heavy crackle, early skips then a stick( though i think this was the only stick i came across). "Brain Damage" also suffers from frequent skips and heavy crackle which to me rendered it almost unlistenable. Stickered Blue/Black Cover is firm and square and has heavy edgewear,cornerwear and moderate to heavy creasing/rubbing . 2 print tears visible to front cover and a little bit of pink something or other near prism. Inside of sleeve is VG, fairly clean and fully ledgible lyrics. White inner is discoloured from tobacco by the look of it and has the name Robinson written on one side, Poly still intact. No writing. Solid Blue prism labels are worn but clean, no writing or rips. Anyway, probably not one that you will want to play alot and not too pretty to look at but it is what it is. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
