Release information:   1st edition, 2nd version of the label, solid inverted prism .

Front Cover:  black gatefold cover with the pattern of spectral colors, matte, the headline "PINK FLOYD DARK SIDE OF THE MOON" 

Back cover:  Standard back cover shows the catalog number "VLJ SH (D) 804" in the upper right corner of Harvest and white logo with the credits at the bottom center, the credits end with "Distributed Marketed AND BY EMI-BRIGADIERS "the far right bottom is the word" interpak ".

Back cover number:   SH VLJ (D) 804 .

Spine:   the edge of the disc says "PINK FLOYD" left, "DARK SIDE OF THE MOON" center and "SHVLJ (D) 804" on the right.

Label information:   black label with the full blue prism, the apex of the prism is turned down, the inscriptions are white and silver, above shows the rectangular logo on the left of the EMI and the word "Harvest" on the right in the middle c 'is "PINK FLOYD" in small, middle right says "STEREO" catalog number "SHVLJ (D) 804" and the additional number (804 SHVL A), left back instead "SIDE 1" and (P) 1973 - EMI Records Ltd. ", way below the center hole with the lineup of songs .

Label Credits :   "F. Day SA."

Rim text:   the word around the outer edge begins at the bottom center (just under 9 hours) and says "ALL OF THE RIGHTS OF THE OWNER AND MANUFACTURER OF THE RECORDED WORK RESERVED PUBLIC PERFORMANCE BROADCASTING AND COPYING 

OF THIS RECORD PROHIBITED" .

Grading (Record/Sleeve):
Sleeve = G (would be very good/excellent but front top left handwritten 'Greg & Nikki' in black ballpoint.  On reverse top right handwritten 'Greg' in black felt tip)
Original black swirl inner sleeve in OK condition with wrinklies and some handwriting.

Record = G  Some scuff marks that do not sound.  One more significant scratch on side A that does sound.

G = Good: Sound quality has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion. Mild scratches. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.
