Description

You are bidding on a used copy of “Dark Side Of The Moon” by Pink Floyd on vinyl, released by Harvest records in 1973. Despite my research, I couldn’t find an exact match for this edition. Run-out information confirms this is a US Los Angeles pressing, and both the LP labels and label text are consistent with the original 1973 pressing. However, the inside of the gatefold does NOT include the “Interpak Pats. Pending” text which most sources cite. I’m therefore unable to confirm with 100% certainty this is an original press, but it most likely is, and even if not it’s definitely early.

Vinyl is in VG+ condition. There are a couple of light handling marks on either side as well as a couple visible hairlines on Side B, but neither feels deep enough to cause problems. The original paper inner sleeve is included (visible in photo; the LP is resting atop it) and has normal wrinkling around the circumference of the LP. All of the original inserts are included: both posters are in excellent shape, crisp and glossy with no tears, though both were hung at one point so there are small pinholes in their corners (see separate close-ups of each); stickers are also in nice shape, but one has noticeable creases in two corners (also shown in photos). The jacket shows significant shelf wear, and the bottom edge is completely split open on the half where the record is stored. Spine also shows visible abrading. Due to the jacket damage this obviously isn’t a showpiece copy, but for anyone looking for an early pressing play copy with all the goodies included, this one will serve those needs just fine. See photos for specifics; they are not stock, this is the actual item you are purchasing.

PLEASE NOTE: I am not a professional grader. As a collector, I have vinyl that looks absolutely destroyed but plays perfectly without a single skip, and I also have records I purchased Brand New that don’t have a single mark on them but skipped for no evident reason the first time I played them out of the shrink wrap. It’s just the nature of the format. All of the records I’m selling are graded based on the best assessment I can make by looking at the vinyl—obviously, I can’t listen to every record start to finish before listing them, so I’m providing the most detailed photos and descriptions I can to make sure anyone who purchases from me knows exactly what they’re buying and is satisfied. Cool? Cool.

Record will be shipped securely and will include a plastic sleeve. US shipping will be via Media Mail; the flat rate is to cover the shipping costs plus shipping supplies. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: I apologize for the high shipping costs, but these are calculated based on weight and I have no control over the rates; thank you for your understanding.

I will gladly combine shipping for multiple items.

Thank you for looking!
