Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon - LP - First 1st Press - Original - Very Rare

 

ORIGINAL 1973 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING OF "DARK SIDE OF THE MOON" BY PINK FLOYD

 

Solid Blue Triangle - signifying that this is an original.  And blue tinge to the album cover.

 

1st Pressing.  Great Powerful Sound. A real collectors item.  Not to be missed.

Original blue tinge gatefold cover - SHVL 804 (IE 064 05249)

 

Original black inner sleeve -  PATENT Nos.  1125555

Condition:

 

 

Vinyl:- VG+.  Some visible surface wear, very minor scratches and scuffs, but minimal impact on the sound quality. Vinyl still has good lustre/shine. (Some crackling on quieter moments - very common on most/all DSOTM first pressings).

 

 My favourite tracks - Money and Us & Them - sound A.M.A.Z.I.N.G on this LP, just no comparison to the DSOTM CD that I have.

 

 

I think the LP would probably benefit from specialist LP cleaning, which I didn't feel confident enough to attempt myself.

 

 

Album Cover:- VG+/VG.  .  Cover is clean but shows slight wear. Some scratches.  Start of ring wear on the back, where the disc has created a raised area on the cover that resulted in the ink wearing off the paper. No splits or tears. Corners may have small creases or fraying.  Outline of a shop pricing sticker on front.  Original black sleeve is also in VG+ condition, no splitting.
