   RECORD CONDITION: EXCELLENT
     Very rare 1st edition in excellent shape. Extremely rare. You will often see pressings of this album advertised as being first editions
                  but you should beware. The first pressing, has the light-blue filled prism design on the label  which was very soon withdrawn and replaced in 1972 by the common “blue-outline prism” you will see on all later pressings of this album that sold in their millions. Impossibly rare. It must be rare as I sold another one in broadly similar condition on ebay two months ago for over £300.00. The first pressing has optimum sound quality. You can hear the difference in the dynamics of the sound of a first pressing and so you should as the first pressing provides a direct line back to the original master tapes. I could write about the sheer quality of this album but you have heard it before.
The vinyl is shiny and clean and is in excellent condition, with only a small hairline mark on side two which gives just the fainest of sound and isn’t loud enough to interfere with the music. Most of the LP sounds mint. The album plays without skips or jumps and has been well looked after. The labels show very little spindle wear. This is a highly-collectable original copy of a remarkable album.

       COVER CONDITION: EXCELLENT
     As the most reliable Pink Floyd sources will tell you, the very first pressing of this gatefold sleeve had a very dark blue background while all issues starting with the second pressing had a black background. This sleeve has this rare dark blue background.
                  The condition of this original gatefold album cover complete with black polylined original inner sleeve is Excellent. The entire sleeve is
                  fully intact, and both the front and back covers display great quality and definition of the artwork, it all looks fine. To make this rare piece absolutely perfect there are two stickers unused but with the usual folding creases where they have been stored between the outer and inner gatefold sleeve across the spine and two near mint posters without pinholes or creases. I have seen this item recently sell for well into three figures in an incomplete form without these posters or stickers. BUT THIS ONE IS COMPLETE.
                  This is a rare LP of an ultimate vinyl pressing and a rare original sleeve that all true Pink Floyd fans must have.
